Most people who land here didn't set out to become collectors. They inherited a doctor's bag, cleared an estate, or found something at a sale that they can't explain. Our job is to help you work out what you actually have — before anyone tells you what it's worth.

Our editorial standards

This niche is full of sites that invent prices to win a click. We don't, ever. Our standing rules:

• No fabricated values. We never state that an item "is worth $X." We teach you the method instead: how to find comparable completed sales, how to read condition, and how to weigh completeness — so you can see what pieces actually sell for, in real listings, today.
• No invented facts. Maker marks, date ranges, and production details are stated only where we can verify them against real references. Where we can't verify, we teach you how to check rather than guessing for you.
• Safety first. Some medical antiques are genuinely hazardous — radioactive radium-era devices, mercury-filled instruments, bottles with original contents. We flag these plainly and never suggest casual handling is safe.
• Illustrations are illustrations. Decorative imagery on this site is never presented as identification reference. When you're identifying a piece, we point you at real examples.
